Position Summary:
The Import Manager at I.R. Scientific International is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s
import operations, ensuring compliance with national and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Import Operations Management: Oversee the entire import process, including procurement coordination, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and delivery logistics.
- Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective importation of goods.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all import activities comply with local and international regulations, including accurate preparation and submission of necessary documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Customs and Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with customs authorities and
regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth clearance processes and resolve any issues that may arise. - Cost Management: Monitor and control import-related costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings through efficient logistics and favorable supplier terms.
- Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the warehousing team to ensure accurate inventory management and timely replenishment of stock levels.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve import procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and mitigate risks.
